Classes meet online through video conferencing. In this way, students are able to communicate with each other and their professors even when they are far away from school. In-person learning is especially important in fields like healthcare and teaching. Online education can never really take its place, said Stephanie Hall. She is a fellow with the independent policy research group The Century Foundation.When schools make agreements with OPMs to run their online programs, they often do not make important information available to students, Hall said. Once upon a time a nobleman lived who married after his wife died with a woman who had two daughters and the three of them didn’t have a lot of good virtues. They have a dark heart. The nobleman had a daughter from the first marriage but she was, unlike her stepsisters, good and beautiful. She is such a sweet person.

Right after the marriage the stepmother showed her real face. She is like a snake. She made her stepdaughter, Cinderella, do all of the house work while sleeping on the attic. She looked after her daughters and dressed them nicely. The girl, despite her misery, got on fine with everything but she couldn’t say anything to her father who was also afraid of the stepmother. This situasion didn’t made her felt like home. Every night after a long day of working she used to sit next to the red place and that’s way she was called Cinderella. Even though  she was wearing rags she was still more like a diamond than her stepsisters. 

One day the king organized a ball for his son and invited all of the nobility. The two stepsisters were looking forward to the dance, made their hair and prepared their dresses. Cinderella selflessly helped them and wanted to go to the dance as every other girl. But she had bad dressed so she couldn’t go anywhere. Her stepsisters agreed with that.

When the big day finally arrived her stepsister went to the ball. Cinderella said goodbye to them in tears and then her godmother who was a good fairy saw her. She felt pity for the poor Cinderella and when she told her she wanted to go to the ball the godmother decided to help her.  First she sent the girl to the garden to get a pumpkin and then she carved it and made a beautiful carriage of it.

After that Cinderella had to bring the mousetrap where 6 mice were caught and as one by one left the mousetrap the fairy godmother turned them into horses and the lizards that Cinderella found were turned into servants.

Cinderella was still wearing the filthy dress so the fairy godmother made her a beautiful dress with just a touch of her wand. Nicely dressed Cinderella was ready for the ball. At the time she is like a flower. The fairy godmother reminded her that she can’t stay after midnight because then everything goes back to normal.

When she arrived the prince spotted her immediately and was impressed with her beauty. Cinderella started dancing with the prince and sat around the table with her stepsisters and shared lemon and oranges with him that she got from the prince. The stepsisters did not recognize her. A moment before midnight Cinderella said goodbye to everyone and disappeared. At home she said her thanks to the fairy godmother and said that she would go to the dance tomorrow because the prince invited her. Later on the stepsisters returned and told the story about the beautiful girl they saw at the ball.

The other day Cinderella asked one of her stepsisters to borrow her yellow dress for the dance and she was disgusted by that idea. The godmother stepped in one more time and Cinderella was having such a wonderful time at the ball that she had forgotten about the time. The midnight clock tick made her run but her shoe fell off and the prince found it. A search started but nobody knew were the beautiful girl went. The guards said that they have seen a peasant woman running but not a beautiful girl in a dress. The prince announced that he will marry the girl who is the owner of the shoe.

The servants carried the shoe all around the kingdom. They were still in the dark about who is the owner of the shoe. When they got to the house where Cinderella lived her stepsisters hurried to try on the shoe but it didn’t fit. Then Cinderella asked if she could try it what made the stepsisters laugh. The nobleman in charge of the shoe said that it was ordered by the prince that every girl needs to try on the shoe. It was a perfect fit for Cinderella.

The stepsisters were even more shocked when Cinderella pulled the other shoe out of her pocket. After that the godmother arrived and made Cinderellas dress even more beautiful than at the ball. The stepsisters realized how mean they were and asked Cinderella for her forgiveness. She forgave everything and when she married the prince she settled her stepsisters in the castle and helped them get married for the gentlemans that lived there.

It is an approximant sound which is a sound made by creating a narrow space in your mouth through which air flows. In this case, it’s both the space between your tongue and the top of your mouth and the space between your lips. How the /w/ Phoneme is spelled The /w/ sound is usually spelled with the letter ‘w,’ or as ‘w-h’ as in: where /weə/ But it is also part of the sound made by the letters ‘q-u,’ which is pronounced /kw/ as in: question /’kwestʆən/ Also, in a few words the /w/ sound doesn’t have any letters, like: one /wʌn/ Examples of the w sound Here are some words that start with /w/. we /wiː/ wait /weɪt/ Here are some words with the /w/ sound in the middle. away /əˈweɪ/ someone /ˈsʌmwʌn/ English words don’t normally end with the /w/ sound, at least when they are written with the phonetic symbols. But only about twenty-five percent of those one point five billion are native English speakers. And since English is the most studied language in the world, there will be many, many, many more non-native English speakers in the future. So you really need to get comfortable listening to English in different accents. Search for videos and lessons from teachers with different accents. Watch movies from different English-speaking parts of the world. Don’t just watch American movies. And speak with people who have different English accents. Find a speaking partner from Iran or from Brazil and practise speaking with them. Tip #3 Use English filler words Filler words are meaningless words that can be used when you’re pausing or you’re hesitating while speaking. It helps other people in a conversation to know that you haven’t finished yet. But you’re just thinking about what you’re going to say next. So you’ll likely have these filler words in your own language as well but they’re probably different in English. Okay… Um… Well… Ah… Right… I guess… Like… I mean… You know… Pausing or hesitating in conversation is normal! Especially when you need an extra moment to think about what you’re going to say next. And since we use filler words without actually really thinking about them, your instinct or your habit will be to use filler words from your native language. But instead, I want you to think about these English filler words and next time you can’t think of a word, try to use them instead. Try to get into the habit of using words and sounds that are natural in English. But when used correctly, filler words can actually help to join your thoughts together. And make your speech flow a little more naturally. Tip #4 Phrasal verbs Phrasal verbs are a verb followed by a preposition. Or an adverb. And together, that creates a new meaning. Please come forward with any information that you hear about the crime. ‘come in‘ means something different from ‘come up‘ and something different from ‘come forward‘ and all of those meanings are different from the original meaning of the verb ‘come‘ Tip #5 Train your tongue You can have perfect listening skills and perfect grammar, but if you can’t communicate your message clearly with your mouth and your tongue, well, it’s really difficult to feel positive about your speaking skills. Good pronunciation is definitely very important part of pushing your English to the next level. There are some English sounds that just don’t exist in your native language. It’s a fact. So of course, it’s normal if your tongue just can’t make those sounds at first. But it doesn’t mean that you can never make those sounds. With a little bit of training and a little bit of hard work, your tongue and your mouth will be able to make those sounds. Now firstly, you really need to know which sounds are difficult for you. Maybe the ‘th’ sound. Maybe the ‘ch’ sound is really hard for you. And perhaps you say ‘shicken’ instead of ‘chicken’. So find video lessons that focus on the sound that you need help with and study it. Say it until you can’t say it anymore until your tongue is really tired. And it will feel tired, just like your stomach’s going to feel tired after you do a hundred sit-ups. As you train your tongue muscles, those tricky words and sounds will become easier and easier to make. It just takes a little practice, consistent practice.
